MI6 launched in 2006 as the first association dedicated to maximizing the effectiveness and supporting the success of marketing, promotion and advertising professionals involved in the video gaming and interactive entertainment community. MI6 is a not-for-profit association providing education, promoting industry growth and celebrating marketing excellence.

Taking place annually, the MI6 Conference is in its sixth successful year and is seen as a must-attend event for marketing professionals in the video gaming space.

The annual MI6 Conference provides an all-inclusive forum for common thought, bond and community for video game marketing and promotion executives.

The MI6 Awards showcases and honors the top creative work produced by the video game marketing community and its partners. The awards show takes place as part of the MI6 Conference. It will be celebrated on April 7, 2011 at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, CA where the winners will be announced.

MI6 has announced the 2011 MI6 Awards Finalists. Blizzard Entertainment has been nominated in several categories for their games: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
