It seems the new Alliance race will be announced in E3 2006. Joystiq has gossip from the Blizzard booth floor and watched something they haven’t yet figured out. It could be a Draenei, or a Mok’Nathal. Joystiq mentioned tentacles speculating it could be a Faceless One or an Eredar, but that makes no sense. The mention of Antonidas makes no sense either. He was killed by Arthas the Deathknight in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and his spirit in penance was freed by Prince Kael’Thas in Warcraft III: Frozen Throne when Lady Vashj and Kael found the wizards’ spirits in the catacombs of Dalaran.
Could they have confused Antonidas with Khadgar? The two tendrils off the chin sound like the latest model of the Draenei known as the Broken Ones. Caydiem said at one time that the Alliance race model was already in-game, and that it would get a model revamp. Well, the Draenei of Swamp of Sorrows are in-game and it would make sense their 3D Model would be changed. Read their Article.
Looking at a video on the show floor, the new Alliance race is ugly with grayish skin, and glowing eyes similar to the Forsaken. Its chin has two things like tentacles hanging down, one on either side, and it’s humanoid and human-size. There’s also a huge picture of Antonidas nearby.
