With BlizzCon 2010 officially announced, we will take the task of gathering questions from loyal Blizzplanet visitors for the StarCraft II panel, and one-on-one interviews with the StarCraft II developers. I might submit some of your questions in upcoming fansite Q&A Batches posted by Karune. It’s possible, but not confirmed, the developers might be signing and taking interviews at the StarCraft II Worldwide Launch at select stores. If that happened, I might be able to ask some of your questions there too.
Back on 2008, Mike Morhaime (Blizzard president) and Frank Pearce (senior vice president) came to the Best Buy in New York City, where I had the opportunity to interview them. So, you never know when I might have the chance to forward your question. Your question is very valuable.
Feel free to submit questions about:
- Single Player
- Multiplayer
- Battle.net
- Galaxy Editor
- eSports
Or any other topic of interest to you. Post them in the comments, or submit them by email here.
My questions: “
1. Where would you like to see the StarCraft franchise five years from now?
2. Will there be further expansions to StarCraft II after ‘Legacy of the Void’?
3. How will the Galaxy Editor and its relative functionality correlate to which StarCraft expansions I have installed past Wings of Liberty?
4. Will there be any way to play on a LAN using an offline mode if, say, Comcast has an outage? Or am I only limited to the “offline mode” for single player?
5. Will any of the pre-WoW/SC2 Blizzard games be retrofitted with B.net 2.0 functionality? Or are Warcraft III and the earlier games stuck with 1.0?
6. How do you feel about the “Invite-a-friend” beta program? Might it be something we see with Cataclysm or Diablo III?
7. Will ‘Heart of the Swarm’ and ‘Legacy of the Void’ have Collectors Editions? I assume ‘Wings of Liberty’ will have them, but I suppose I could be wrong.”
That’s all I have for now.
