This was a lengthy week in preparation to the holidays, and a heavy week for me with 30 Blizzard news in a single week. Phew! Ain’t I sweaty? Among the news headlines of merit is the second printing of World of Warcraft# 1. The comic book is so popular it sold out, and returned to the press for a second printing. DC Comics is planning to release a Hardcover containing all 6-issues of the comic book’s first story arc.
The popular Mini-Me from Austin Powers participated in a World of Warcraft TV Commercial. The video is now available. Last week, UDE announced the Fires of Outland TCG had sold out. Barely days after, the Feast of Winter Veil TCG Set was also sold out. Geez!
Starcraft 2 saw a lot of activity this week, you should check out the news concerning the Nomad, Thor, Protoss Mothership and more. Diablo III joined Wired’s list of Vaporware 2007 … an odd feat for a game that hasn’t been officially announced.
Among the community we have the release of a very popular WoW Machinima titled Tales of the Past III which focus on a fanfic story of Mograine and the Ashbringer. Project Revolution – a Warcraft III mod – has been nominated as Best Mod of 2007, help by voting for it. A very nice 6 minutes video was released so that you can see Starcraft in 3D using the Warcraft III Engine. Additionally, CampaignCreations – a long-standing modding community – announced a contest for the skilled Starcraft map campaign makers. The prizes are very cool. Check it out.
