Hu Jintao, China’s president, censored Undead skeletons of World of Warcraft. The9, company that licenses Blizzard’s MMO in China, updated the game replacing any Undead Skeleton with a fleshed and muscled model. Bare-bone piles are now neat graves instead. At first this news headline seemed like a April’s Fool.
According to Gulfnews, Hu Jintao’s censorship aims to ‘purify’ the internet of anything that might affect ‘national cultural information security’ or undermine his attempt to promote a ‘harmonious society’.
