It has been speculated many times in the past year since the release of a Vivendi Financial Projection Report, which placed Starcraft and Diablo franchises as potential MMOs. Computer and Video Games Online interviewed Jeff Kaplan and Samwise Didier this week. When asked if Blizzard looked forward to other MMOs, the answer was quietly thought-triggering.
CVG: Is there interest in MMOs beyond World of Warcraft for Blizzard?
Kaplan: As far as working on another MMO project or a WoW 2, obviously as a company we’d be very interested in further exploring the MMO space but we don’t have anything official yet to talk about in that direction.
But we’re definitely looking towards the future as well.
