This is hopefully going to spark life into the hearts of millions of fans awaiting the Warcraft film, and seriously choke the trolls and naysayers that called it vaporware.
Following Duncan Jones’ visit to the Blizzard Entertainment Irvine Headquarters a few days ago to talk with Blizzard VP of Creative and Franchise Development Chris Metzen — Duncan Jones posted today two tweets one right after the other.
One Tweet said “Producer Liberty Stu put this on my table while I was writing the other day. Not sure if it was a gift or a threat!”
Curious about the picture link, I checked it out. It was a freaking “Epic Weapons Warcraft Doomhammer Replica”!!! Liberty Stu placed it on Duncan Jones’ table. Now you would ask — who in the world is Liberty Stu? Well … he’s Stuart Fenegan — the Executive Producer of the WARCRAFT film (Producer of MOON, Co-Producer of SOURCE CODE).
The second tweet said: “Writing today! I can’t wait! 🙂”
Curious, as I always am, I candidly sent a tweet to Duncan Jones to ask if the Doomhammer and his “writing today” comment meant that he was actually writing some scenes for the Warcraft film based on the script — considering he visited Chris Metzen recently.
Duncan Jones responded: “Absolutely!”
There you go guys … the Warcraft film is full-speed ahead.
The big question is if Blizzard is going to make any big reveals about the Warcraft film at BlizzCon 2013 (November 8-9th). Or much much earlier? We want teasers. We want to hear when the role cast begins. We want to see photos of actors in scenes. We want viral teasers. OH YEAH! We want geeks teasing geeks. <3
