Blizzard Entertainment posted several photos in the StarCraft facebook showing the new Kerrigan the Queen of Blades statue adorning the entrance of their Versailles, France office.
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm beta is likely starting on June. In Anaheim, the MLG attendees will be able to play the game for the first time.

June? That’s weird. They’ve been talking about ‘two releases” in 2012 during the last couple of investor calls; I always assumed that meant HotS was getting bumped to 2013.
Remember when the SC2 devs were saying the expansions would come out in 2011 and 2012? Those were the days… ^^
Beta testing usually lasts around 6 months+. HOTS will be playable in the MLG Anaheim Tournament in June 8-10. That gives you an idea beta might start shortly after this event. (June-August range).
If this ships early 2013, it’s going to be confusing. They usually ship RTS games around July.
I don’t think they intentionally just ship RTS games in July. I think they ship them when they’re ready.
I think what MD means is that it would feel weird discovering the game during a different time of year. You know, that special moment when you open the box for the first time and you feel like a kid at Christmas?
They talk about releasing at least 2 games this year. But I know they have every intention of trying to release Heart of the Swarm as well in 2012.
A 2012 release would be awesome. I can’t wait to see what happens to Sarah, and to play the Zerg campaign (I hate them but I love them, you know what I mean?).
