The Pandaren Mount was hinted in the recent preview of the World of Warcraft: Pearl of Pandaria graphic novel.
After the patch gave players access to the Valley of the Four Winds last night, I found what might look like a younger version of the mount seen in the graphic novel. It’s a Shaghorn.
You know how I love to speculate with you MD, but this time I don’t know… The horns normally indicate an adult animal, so this is probably a different species. The ones in the screenshot look too small and frail to hold a pandaren, and the one Li Li is riding looks like a dwarf racial mount, doesn’t it?
There’s a lot of information out there that the Pandaren racial mount will be some kind of mule/Yak – the graphic novel justifies that a bit. I’m not sure if it will be the shaghorn like MD linked to but I think it will be very similar to it.
Yeah, it would definitely fit with the culture.
Did they not state it was planned to be a turtle mount? I don’t remember where I heard that but I do remember hearing that. The mount in the graphic novel looks more like the dwarf mount. As well as a turtle fits in with their lore a bit more than a ram. They lived on a Giante turtle, and theres an old saying the earth rode on the back of a turtle that walked through space? you may ask what the turtle stood on the answer is it’s turtles all the way down.
It hasn’t been stated anywhere that the turtles will be the Pandaren mounts – and I don’t see it happening either.
Although I could stand corrected… MMO champion datamined a Turtle Dragon mount – however, we don’t know if that’s their race mount or not.

Wowwiki has led me to believe that the Pandaren mount will actually be a Dragon Turtle: https://www.wowwiki.com/Dragon_turtle
There’s a stable in the Valley of the Four Winds at the Verdant Belt. They are raising horses, shaghorns and Yaks. That sorta has a vibe at one of them being mounts.
thats is a dwarf mount ….
