People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — better known as PETA, posted an article encouraging StarCraft II players to care for zerglings. I am sure many of you support PETA issues, while others might think PETA got “issues” (as in the mental ones).
I don’t think PETA is bothered much by digital pixels getting killed. It’s probably their way to catch gamers’ attention to introduce their care for animals propaganda. I don’t know if this PetaCraft: Heart for the Swarm propaganda worked for you, but you gotta admit it’s funny and cute. — source
Thanks, Mike_
- “PETA—or, as we are renaming ourselves in honor of the expansion pack’s launch, “Terrans for the Ethical Treatment of Zerglings”—will attend tonight’s launch event in Irvine, California, and distribute copies of our new “Zerglings Have Feelings, Too” leaflets as a reminder that gamers and nongamers alike should have compassion for all beings—even those who are very different from us.“
Reminds me of the recent CarbotAnimations video with the cute zerglings. Worth a watch. (source)
You gotta admit, CarbotAnimations’ zerglings are pretty cute.
PS: The underscore is actually just to avoid revealing my last name; stupid Hotmail wouldn’t let me leave it blank. xD
Yeah, if you treat zerglings ethically, you’re gonna be unethically torn into little pieces.
It looks like by now PETA embraced the whole “we’re crazy” picture and just doesn’t care about real animals anymore, just does stuff for show, for scandal. I still remember their whole “we should support Team Plasma in Pokemon B&W” campaign, which was frankly disgusting.
A moderated, non-batshit ad campaign from PETA? Hold on, I think I’m on Korhal cause this can’t be Earth.
this right here makes me wanna kill zerglings more
