As you may see in the front page, there is a petition online to plea Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. the return of Glynnis Talken and Robert Clotworthy as Kerrigan the Queen of Blades and Jim Raynor’s voice actors.
I had held this petition for over a month, because Zeratul was included in the petition. After hearing Chris Metzen comment the actor had passed away, I tried to confirm. Sadly it seems Zeratul’s voice actor did pass away. A great voice actor hard to replace. Zeratul, who also voiced General Duke, was among the best in Starcraft and Brood War. Zeratul’s change of actor is excused. And I hope somewhere in Starcraft II we may have some kind of tribute to the original actor as a easter egg.
Glynnis and Robert are alive and willing to return. Any change is unwanted and unexcused.
I had reported recently that Glynnis had somewhat confirmed her reprisal as Kerrigan in her recent August Newsletter. She had told me back on July she would visit San Diego Comic Con as an attendee just to walk in by the Blizzard booth. I’m glad it worked out. And her website announcement also confirms it. So, cheers everyone.
Robert Clotworthy had agreed to let me know whenever his reprisal became confirmed, and thus far I have gotten no confirmation. I saw a month ago a video of Chris Metzen explaining how he got the Jim Raynor concept from a film years ago. A character based on a Texas ranger. Personally, I don’t buy that as a reason to change the actor to fit what he originally wanted.
At this point it is what the fans want. We want Rob = we want Jim Raynor.
