Some exciting tidbits starting to come afloat in the internet about the World of Warcraft: Horde graphic novel by DC Comics. Brazilian comic book artist Jheremy Raapack (Resident Evil mini-series) posted in portuguese the World of Warcraft: Horde graphic novel might be on sale either by the end of 2011 or the beginning of 2012. He says work on the graphic novel is at its highest — what video game developers would dub crunch-mode. This was posted on June 16, 2011.
The team behind the World of Warcraft: Horde graphic novel has writer Doug Wagner (Ultraforce, Malibu), and editors Hank Kanalz and Sarah Gaydos.
His pin-up sketches posted last year on July 26, 2010 contain a troll, orc, gnome, draenei, a human with a eye patch, and Valeera Sanguinar.
With this new tidbit I don’t doubt anymore DC Comics and Blizzard Entertainment “might” reveal further news about the World of Warcraft: Alliance, World of Warcraft: Horde and/or StarCraft graphic novels at the San Diego Comic Con. As a reminder, yesterday we informed Blizzard Senior Art Director Samwise Didier is confirmed to be signing at the San Diego Comic Con’s Artist Alley. Keep an eye on Blizzplanet for further news developments as we approach the San Diego Comic Con (July 21-24, 2011).

Basically, he says it will be out “Logo”™ (“soon”, in portuguese ;P) but he can’t say much because of legal obligations. That does sound a lot like Blizzard. 😀
The script on the Alliance one is done, apparently.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m gonna start digging some stuff as soon as I solve some IRL probs. I have sent a few emails for other product stuff too. Especially the DC Direct action figures meant to ship on July, and the Diablo III: Book of Cain — the X date is approaching for official details.
